Qualifications:

· Fluent in Spanish

· WV Teaching Certificate (Spanish K-12 preferred)

· Ability to work independently and make effective decisions

· Ability to communicate effectively with students, school personnel, and parents in both English and Spanish

Reports To: Director of Student Services

Evaluated: Utilizing Professional Growth and Development Plan

Responsibilities:

· Translation of all relevant county documents to Spanish.

· Provide translation to school documents as needed.

· Follows applicable school, county, and state policies and procedures.

· Perform translation duties in academic settings so that parents/students will have a full understanding of the curriculum being delivered by instructors. Interpret for parent participation in parent-teacher conferences.

· Maintain positive and professional relationship with all students, parents, and staff.

· Perform duties in an efficient, productive, and professional manner.

· Meet professional responsibilities and participates in Professional development activities as required.

Salary: Current hourly rate of pay for hourly services. Daily log of hours to be maintained by translator and submitted to the Director of Student Services, twice a month.

Terms of

Employment: Up to 200 hours of services, or as defined by grant expenditures per year. Renewed annually as Grant allocations allow
