Job Description

Athletic Advisor and Game Coordinator

Qualifications:

1. Current WV Teacher Certification

2. Employee of Hardy County Schools

3. At least 2 years coaching experience (Head Coach at Varsity level preferred)

Immediate Supervisor:

? Athletic Director

Evaluation:

Performed annually by the Athletic Director and Principal in accordance with Evaluation Policy of Hardy County Schools

Job Goal:

To provide assistance in administration of Interscholastic sports program

Responsibilities:

1. Provide supervision for home athletic events and away events as directed by the Principal and Athletic Director

2. Assists in the development of athletic schedules

3. Consults with the Athletic Director on all financial transactions by the Athletic Department

4. Foster good school/community relations by providing information to the community through available resources

5. Plan and coordinate a master calendar of events in cooperation with the Principal

6. Providing eligibility lists for all sports and reporting to WVSSAC

7. Assist in the maintenance of safe and efficient functioning athletic facilities

8. Collects student information and maintains necessary files

9. Enforces all policies and rules of the Athletic Department

10. Approximately 120 nights and evenings, 2 weekends a month

? Keeps Athletic Director and Principal informed of necessary information

? Promotes good sportsmanship

? Fosters positive relations with opposing schools

Salary

Commiserate with 30 minutes of planning period buy-out per semester
