Hardy County Board of Education
 

The Hardy County Board of Education is established through the Constitution of the State of West Virginia.  The Board is vested with general supervision of the counties Pre-K through grade 12 operations.

Its five members are made up of citizens elected by the voters of Hardy County.  The County Superintendent is elected by the Board.  Board members serve overlapping terms of four years, with no more than three members elected at any one election.  No more than three members may represent any one district within the county.

The Board usually meets bi-monthly to determine the educational policies and practices of the school system and to establish the rules that carry into effect state law regarding education.

All meetings, unless otherwise announced, are conducted at the Board of Education Offices located at 510 Ashby Street, Moorefield, West Virginia 26836.
