Application Process
The
following is a brief outline of our application and selection process used in
our school system.
If you desire additional information, please feel free to contact our

A complete application enables us to accurately access your
qualifications.
All information is to be sent to: Hardy County Schools, 510
Ashby Street, Moorefield, West Virginia 26836. Attention Office of the
Superintendent.
Download complete and return the application with a resume attached.
Have
credentials (high school diploma and college transcripts, if applicable),
appropriate licenses of degrees, reference letters and supplementary information forwarded to our office as
soon as possible.
Hardy
County Schools requires two letters of reference from former employers.
The
superintendent will make the final decision to recommend the best qualified
candidate in his/her judgment without regards to race, sex, color, creed,
religion, national origin, or handicap, as defined by law.
It is not possible to keep all applicants informed of the status of their applications. Your application will be kept on file for two years. References must be renewed yearly.

Selection
Process
A
bid sheet must be submitted by the closing date of each vacancy posted to be
considered
for a particular position. It can be downloaded at this site and faxed or
mailed to our office.
Each
application, bid sheet and reference will be reviewed and evaluated.
Hardy County Schools is not obligated to interview all applicants.
To
be eligible to work in a service position in our school system, applicants
must take necessary tests required by law.
The
process of selecting employees is the joint responsibility of the
appropriate administrative staff in the county; however, the Superintendent
will make the final decision regarding recommendation for employment.
The
Hardy County Board of Education will hire based on the Superintendent’s
recommendation.
