Hardy County Schools will dismiss three hours early on Tuesday, March 4 for teacher Learning Team meetings and training.

Reminder: Hardy County Schools has a scheduled three hour early dismissal on Friday, February 21, 2025. Have a great weekend!

Based upon wind chills and potential snow tomorrow morning, Hardy County Schools will operate on a two-hour delay for Thursday, February 20, 2025.

February 26th has been added to the Pre-K registration days. If you haven't registered yet, please call 304-530-7787 to set up an appointment.


Hardy County Schools will operate on a two-hour delay for Monday, February 17, 2025.

Hardy County Schools will be closed on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 due to inclement weather.


Hardy County Schools will utilize the last of our non-traditional instructional days (NTID) for Tuesday, February 11, 2025. This means students will work from home. All employees are to report to their home schools at regular time. Bus drivers will receive information from the transportation department regarding their duties for the day.

Hardy County Schools will operate on a THREE hour delay for Thursday, February 6, 2025 based upon the forecast of accumulating ice.


Hardy County Schools will have a three-hour early release on Tuesday, February 4, 2025 for Faculty Senate.

After further review of the back roads in Hardy County as well as updated discussions with the department of highways, we believe it is in our best interest to hold a nontraditional instructional day for Thursday, January 23, 2025. January 22, 2025 will be a non-traditional instructional day for Hardy County Schools. This means that students will complete snow packet number three at home.


Hardy County Schools will use the last of our five free snow days for Tuesday, January 21, 2025. Stay safe and warm!


Hardy County Schools will be closed on Monday in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
