MIS Star Gazing Assembly

MIS is kicking off its annual chocolate fundraiser! Students attended an assembly today and will be bringing home these forms. If you sign and return the form tomorrow, agreeing to sell the first box of chocolate, your child will be entered to win a mini frig full of cash!
Chocolate is $60 per box, $2 per bar and once checked out you may not return partially used boxes.
Thank you for your support of MIS's only school wide fundraiser!

Students are enjoying the “library house” bench made & donated by Wolfe Wood Works. Another favorite spot on the Grow Kindness flower garden is the metal bench donated by the MIS PTO. We appreciate all the local businesses & community organizations that have made the Grow Kindness flower garden possible.

Mrs. Wagner's class is learning about lifestyles of plants, starting with apples. They made homeade applesauce and taste tested different types of apples today!

In remembrance of 9/11/01, Mrs. Baker Thompson's homeroom made thank you cards for our area's first responders. Cards will be delivered to local law enforcement and EMS this weekend.

Mother/Son Movie Night

MIS Upcoming Events

MIS will wear Red, White, and Blue on Thursday September 11 in support of Patriot Day.

2024-2025 MIS Yearbooks should have come home with students today. If you forgot to purchase a yearbook, there is a limited supply of left over yearbooks at the school. The cost of a yearbook is $20.00 and can be paid by cash or check payable to MIS. These can be purchased and picked up in the school office. These will be handed out on a first come first serve basis. Again there is a very limited supply of extras. Have a wonderful evening.

Students are not the only ones visiting the Grow Kindness flower garden. Students enjoyed watching these visitors to our garden today. There is a crowd of willing helpers anytime Mrs. Judy is in the garden at recess.

Schools in Hardy County will be closed Monday, September 1 in honor of Labor Day.

If you are ever looking to take a walk down memory lane, take a look at Moorefield Intermediate's Blast from the Past display case to see a collection of memories from where it all started.

Today we say goodbye to Miss Alana and congratulate her on her new endeavors moving forward., She will greatly be missed by MIS.
